The 2026 list of developers building multifamily projects is open to companies with offices in the Austin area. The local coverage area includes Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, Burnet and Caldwell counties. The list tracks number of units under construction and/or delivered during 2025. Listmakers reported 20,641 units developed during that time. These same developers indicated that another 13,789 units are planned to break ground in the Austin area during 2026. Last year, 23 listmakers reported 23,208 units brought to market during 2023 and expected 24,420 units would break ground in 2025. Information is gathered through ABJ surveys sent to company representatives. Only developers that responded to the survey are considered.
